Women In Government is pleased to offer travel assistance for women state legislators to attend our national conferences. To qualify for this scholarship, women state legislators must be currently serving in state legislature in 2023 and will be serving in state legislature in 2024.

A Legislator Travel Scholarship of up to $1,150 for the Women In Government 2023 Leadership and Innovation Summit in Texas Hill Country, November 2-5, 2023 is available on a first-come/first-served basis to registered (i.e., paid applicable registration fee) women legislator attendees to reimburse eligible personal travel expenses. Registration must be completed prior to the registration cut-off date of Thursday, October 19, 2023. All Texas women state legislators will have their registration fee waived when attending the Leadership & Innovation Summit. All reimbursements are made post-event. Eligible reimbursable travel expenses include: airfare or mileage to the host city, ground transportation to the host hotel, and hotel stay (room + tax only) during eligible conference nights.

Legislator attendees are responsible for arranging all travel to and from the conference site including reserving a room at the host hotel. A link to make a reservation in Women In Government's room block at the host hotel is available as part of the registration process.

Legislator participants are accountable to attend all sessions and conference events in order to receive the Legislator Travel Scholarship. All attendees agree to abide by all health and safety rules of conference venue/s and jurisdiction/s in addition to abiding by Women In Government’s Code of Conduct Policy.
