Tour B: A New Approach to Firearm Training

Time Activity
Tuesday, June 2nd 2:00pm Train SMART: A New Approach to Firearm Training

Train SMART is a new program created by veterans that brings the military’s proven principles of training, safety, and responsibility to the civilian market. Our firearm training courses are designed to meet people where they are from first-time buyers to experienced gun owners, and give them a comprehensive, 360-degree view of responsible gun ownership. Train SMART will host a policy tour at a local shooting range where you can meet instructors, experience course modules, become more familiar with guns and gun safety and learn more about policy opportunities to bring Train SMART to your state. The event will be a mix of both classroom and firing range time. Tour participants may handle unloaded firearms (only if comfortable), but only instructors will demonstrate firing at the range.

Special Notes:

  • Participants must wear closed-toe shoes.
  • The shooting range is outdoors, so please dress appropriately for weather conditions and outdoor activity.
