Pre-Conference Tours

We are excited to offer three site visits around St. Louis for women state legislators attending the National Legislative Conference.

To participate, you must be registered for the 2025 National Legislative Conference and have a hotel reservation confirmed by May 16th. During registration, indicate your interest in the site tours, and a survey will be provided to help you rank your preferred sites. Space is limited, and tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tour A: Agriculture Tour

Tuesday, June 17th at 12:15pm Bayer Crop Science Innovation Experience

Special Notes:

  • Transportation departs from the hotel at 12:15 pm and the tour begins at 1:00 pm.
  • Closed-toe shoes and pants are required to be worn for the facility tour.
  • Long sleeves must be worn in lab spaces (if it’s a hot day, bring a cardigan).
  • A valid driver’s license or passport is required for entry.

Tour B: Manufacturing & Supply Tour

Tuesday, June 17th at 2:00pm Haleon Consumer Health Manufacturing Tour

For more than 90 years, Haleon's facility in St. Louis has been manufacturing health products, such as TUMS tablets. The Downtown St. Louis location employees 300 staff and produces more than six billion tablets of TUMS each year! During this tour, you'll get an inside look at how Haleon manufactures this trusted product.

Special Notes:

  • Transportation departs from the hotel at 2:00 pm.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required to be worn for the facility tour. Please provide your shoe size, as Haleon will supply steel-toed shoes if available. If steel-toed shoes are unavailable, participants will be provided steel-toe coverings, which can be worn over your own closed-toe shoe.
  • No pictures are allowed during the tour.
  • A valid driver's license or passport is required for entry.

Tour C: Pharmaceutical Research & Development Tour

Tuesday, June 17th at 2:00pm Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Facility Tour

Mallinckrodt is a global business, producing both specialty brand and generic medications, with more than 150 years of history supplying pharmaceutical products. Mallinckrodt's downtown St. Louis facility employs over 400 personnel and manufacturers more than 40 products and is the nation's single largest active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site by volume. During the tour, you will have a chance to visit with leading experts at the site, learn about the development of these medicines and API, and hear more about the important work being done to ensure a stable supply of critical and necessary generic medicines in the U.S.
